How to properly lace and tighten RISPORT figure skates?

  • Lacing RISPORT Skates Properly

🔵 RISPORT skates must be laced from the BOTTOM UP!!!!

    • Do not overtighten the laces at the toe area. Your toes should be able to move inside the boot.

    • Tighten the laces more as you go towards the ankle, especially the last 2-3 eyelets. This ensures a correct and secure foot position inside the skate.

    • Tighten the first hook firmly. Laces should be looped from the top down. Towards the top part of the boot, tighten the hooks moderately, especially for children, to avoid cutting off circulation. The last hook should be slightly looser. This method ensures a secure foot hold while allowing for a full range of motion.

⚠️ If you lace the skates too tightly all the way up to the shin, the skater won't be able to bend their knees properly, which is crucial for figure skating movements. They will feel stiff, like a robot. This also increases the risk of foot injury and damage to the skate (ankle breakage).
